Inauguration of Welfare Development Association

Ponnampet, Sep. 30: The inauguration ceremony of the Student Welfare Development Association of Gonikoppal Cauvery College was held.

The program was held under the chairmanship of Gonikoppal Cauvery Education Society Gov. Secretary K.P. Bopanna, and Virajpet Division DySP Mahesh Kumar, who participated as the chief guest, inaugurated the program and administered the oath to the student leaders. He said that the college stage is an important step for students to shape their lives for the better.

Another chief guest, Gonikoppal Circle Inspector Shivaraj R. Mudhol, spoke and said that in the past, parents and teachers used to beat children and teach them wisdom. Now such a tradition has disappeared. He expressed regret that the youth is going astray.

Badges were distributed to the student leaders on this occasion.

Gonikoppalu Police Station Officer Pradeep Kumar, Kaveri College Principal Dr. M.B. Kaveriappa, Conveners of the Student Welfare Association Dr. P. P. Savitha, K. K. Chitravathi, office bearers of the student union, lecturers, class representatives and students were present at the event.
