K K Pant highlighted the importance of inter-IIT collaboration and links between new and old generation IITs in order to address the difficulties facing research and development today. S K Varshney stressed the significance of IITs participating in internationalisation initiatives and getting together to talk about difficulties in interdisciplinary academic and research partnerships. He also noted the importance of knowledge sharing among IITs to improve the academic and scientific brilliance of both students and researchers. Nitin Seth discussed the significance of research cooperation between French and Indian institutions to promote scientific excellence, tackle global issues, and build a better future via cooperative research and shared skills.

The conclave included workshops on topics such as “International students: challenges ahead”, “International networking & faculty exchange”, “Challenges of IR office: open discussions”, and “Responsibilities and digitization of IR office”. Furthermore, IIT Bombay was ranked 40th in the QS University Ranking 2024, further highlighting the importance of internationalisation initiatives. The IR Conclave 2023 was a great success and a great example of how collaboration and knowledge sharing can help to promote internationalisation initiatives.
