From the moment I saw him in person, I knew that this was different. I felt like I'd found my person and I'd finally found the right person to start a family with. We married just a year later and, when we were both ready, we welcomed our two beautiful children into the world.

Despite my initial plans to be a young mum, I'm so glad I waited for the right person and for the right time to start a family. I now appreciate all the advantages of being an older mum - like having the energy to play with my children and the financial security to provide for them. Tom and I make a great team and we both get so much joy from spending time with Immy and Jack.

Looking back, I'm grateful I waited to find the right partner and am now an older mum. I have a newfound appreciation for the advantages of starting a family in my late 30s – I have more financial security, a stable relationship and, most importantly, I'm able to be a fully engaged parent.

Tom and I are both in our 40s and still full of energy, however, it's a different kind of energy than when we were 20. We still have plenty of enthusiasm for playing with Immy and Frankie, but we also have the wisdom to know when to take a break and when to keep going. And, of course, Tom is a fantastic role model for our children, showing them what it means to be a responsible and loving father.

Moreover, I'm confident that I will be able to be a part of my children's and even my grandchildren's lives for many years to come.
