How to deal with clients, who will not pay a fair price

Some clients might think that they can get away with not paying you for the work that you have completed. However, oftentimes, this will cause a loss of your self-esteem and motivation to continue working for these "stingy" clients.

In order to deal with this problem, it is important to educate your clients on how much value you bring to their business. They should be able to understand the time and energy that you put into every project and be willing to pay a fair price for it. It might also be worth evaluating your pricing model if you are struggling with these types of customers.

I had this client for who I did an excellent job for them, but they refused to pay my price. They were being a bit too miserly and refused to pay me what I felt I deserved for the work that I did.

1) Keeping your prices where you want them: But when it comes to negotiating with clients, you should never lower your price below what you are willing to do the work for. There is no sense in trying to undercut yourself or give away your time like this. You must always hold your ground when it comes to pricing - which is why you should never negotiate on price.

2) Finding alternative payment options: Sometimes, though, you will find that a client isn't willing or able to pay your desired price at all - in which case it's worth considering alternative ways. If the client's services/ products are unique, you could consider, barter.

There are a few ways to overcome this problem. You can offer your product or service at a lower price, or you can offer an alternative payment method like a credit card.

The problem will be persistent when you start your business. It must reduce with the passage of time. If it doesn't, you may be in the wrong sector.
