The result of a one night stand with Leah Barnes during the missing year, Dillon is still trying to figure out how to navigate this new role in his life. On top of that, his heart is still aching from his breakup with Lucas Hay, who has not been able to forgive him for sleeping with his sister while he was in young offenders.
With all of these challenges on his plate, Dillon's struggle to parent baby James has left Misbah Maalik and Donny feeling frustrated. In the upcoming episodes, which are now available to stream as part of the Christmas boxset, Misbah and Donny will plead with Dillon to step up and take responsibility for his son. But unfortunately, Rex has other plans for Dillon.
The sinister character wastes no time in manipulating Dillon, persuading him to ditch his responsibilities and go out drinking instead. At first, Dillon resists and attempts to look after James. But after struggling to settle his son, he gives in and messages Rex to take him up on his offer. As a result, Misbah and Donny are left to take care of James and are exhausted after a sleepless night. Donny realizes that perhaps he shouldn't have pushed Dillon so hard.
Meanwhile, Dillon returns home after a night of drinking, trying to sneak straight to bed. But it's clear that he's hiding something. What exactly is Rex up to? And why is he targeting Dillon? These questions will all be answered in the upcoming New Year boxset episodes. Rex's initial target was Lucas, but it seems like he has shifted his focus to Dillon. Why? We'll just have to wait and see.
