Both Kitty and Beau decided to keep quiet about what had happened, but the guilt started to consume Beau in the following weeks. Eventually, Kitty made the decision to go to the police and turn herself in.
But Beau was adamant that this was not the right course of action. So once again, the two decided to keep quiet and try to move on with their lives. However, things took a turn when John Paul McQueen got dangerously close to finding out the truth. In a desperate attempt to cover their tracks, Kitty and Beau were forced to return to the cottage and move Declan's body. This was a traumatic experience for both of them, and they were left unsure of what to do with the body. But Kitty came up with a plan.
Beau thought that they had successfully hidden their crime, but subsequent scenes showed that the two had actually buried Declan's body in Hunter McQueen's grave. The day they buried the body also happened to be Hunter's funeral. Hunter, a beloved colleague of Beau's, had passed away the previous month after taking a bad batch of drugs at The Loft.
Covered in dirt and overwhelmed with emotions, Kitty and Beau thought that their nightmare was finally over. However, their ordeal was far from over as Freddie stumbled upon them shortly after, demanding answers about what they had been up to. Will their murder secret finally be exposed? Can Kitty convince Freddie to keep quiet? After all, they do have a connection. Or will Freddie's desire to be a better parent to Lexi lead him to go to the police?
