Madikeri, june.15: Kodagu district has been raining continuously for the past two days and Shanthalli and Bhagmandala have been raining for the past 24 hours. Shanthalli has received 3.76 inches of rain while Bhagamandala has received 3.61 inches of rain. The district has averaged 1.75 inches in the last 24 hours.
Wind gusts have increased with the intensity of rainfall throughout the district, and similar weather has persisted almost everywhere. Rainfall is more pronounced in rural areas. It has been raining in Baalugodu, Bittangala, Ambatti, Kuttandhi and several places over four days. Heavy rain continues in the region today. The Kaveri sub-stream of Kadanur village is flowing with water. The water level of the Kaveri stream in Betri village has risen by heavy rainfall. Officials said there were no complaints of damage to the town limits and hillsides of Veerajapete. The rain poured 1.55 inches from yesterday morning until 8am today.
