On a recent episode of I Am Athlete, Gilbert Arenas, a former NBA player, shared his opinion that, at 25, he was a better basketball player than fan favorite and NBA champion Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry. Arenas' career stats at 25 compared to Curry's before he turned 25 back up his statement.
Arenas noted that he was a three-time All Star and a three-time All-NBA player by 25, while Curry had only achieved one All-Star nomination. When they both reached the age of 25, Curry had averaged 24 points and 8.5 assists, shooting 47.1% from the field and 42.4% from the three-point line. On the other hand, Arenas was averaging 28.4 points per game, 6.0 assists and shooting 41.8% from the field and 35.1% from the three.
