While addressing the audience, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways also urged them to show their support for BJP candidates Sambit Patra for Puri Lok Sabha seat and Upasana Mohapatra for Brahmagiri Assembly segment by casting their votes in their favor. He emphasized the importance of the coastline in Odisha and promised projects to boost fishery production, giving the local fishermen a chance to earn in dollars.

Gadkari also stressed the significance of the Bhubaneswar Ring Road in reducing the commute time for residents of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Khurda. He also shared his plans to commence construction on the proposed 35-km four-lane Greenfield ring road in Sambalpur, which is estimated to cost Rs 1,333 crore, in October. This move aims to alleviate traffic congestion between Rourkela and Cuttack.

Before attending the election meeting, Gadkari paid a visit to the renowned Shree Jagannath Temple and offered prayers. His visit was met with enthusiasm and optimism by the locals, who are eagerly looking forward to the promised developments in their region.
