Future of employment for India’s youth

India has a population of more than 1.3 billion people, and the youth population is increasing by the day. India’s economy is projected to grow at 7% in 2018, and this growth could be attributed to a large part of the country’s growing workforce. However, with jobs becoming increasingly scarce for India’s youth, there is a need for policymakers to think about how they can create more jobs for the youth who will soon be entering the workforce.

India’s youth population is expected to reach 400 million by 2040. With the number of jobs available in India declining and the number of young people increasing, it is not hard to imagine that youth unemployment will be a major problem.

This section discusses how AI can help India’s youth with their future employment prospects. AI can be used to automate tasks that are repetitive and require no creativity or emotional intelligence. It can also be used as an assistant for human workers and provide them with insights on how they can improve their work performance.

It is a well-known fact that India’s youth population is the largest in the world. This population is also highly educated with some of them having degrees from prestigious institutions abroad. With so many talented youths, it is a matter of time before they start taking over the workforce and becoming an integral part of India’s economy.

There are several factors that are contributing to this change in the workforce including:

- The increasing number of startups and new businesses which need to hire people with different skillsets

- The Indian government's push for digitization requires more manpower

- A growing number of people are opting for self-employment rather than regular jobs
