Futtle brews beer using organic hops from Scotland.
Tomorrow, FIFE brewery Futtle is launching an exciting new beer made with fresh organic Scottish hops! These hops were harvested on the same day they were grown, right in the kitchen garden of Rufflets Hotel in St Andrews. Co-founder and brewer Lucy Hine commented that this is “certainly not something we’re used to seeing in Scotland” and that “we believe this is the first time where the hops have been grown organically and brewed into a fully organic beer.” Managing Director Marco Truffelli of Rufflets added that their partnership with Futtle is a “celebration of [their] micro farming efforts” and that “four-thousand cans have been produced this year and they will be available to enjoy in the beautiful surroundings of Rufflets from next week.” This is an exciting new tradition that will put Scotland on the map and rival the English hop counties celebrations, so don’t miss out!
