Virajpet, Dec. 5: Health practices should be a part of our lives, said Dr. Gopinath, a professor and orthopedic specialist at Chamundeshwari Medical College, Channapatna.
Speaking after inaugurating the free health checkup camp organized by Lions Club Virajpet, Narayana Hospital Mysore and Credo-Narayana Emergency Care Center Bittangala, he said that it is very important for rural people to get necessary medical treatment. Apart from that, creating awareness about health is also important. He said that instead of consulting a doctor after getting sick, people need to be made aware to improve their health by taking precautionary measures.
Dr. Abhilash Yadav, a doctor at Narayana Hospital, said that our goal is to make health services easily available to everyone. Free health camps will help improve the health of the poor and middle class people. Nowadays, we see that everyone is facing one or the other health problem. Stress and diet are the main reasons for this. The camp was organized to provide relief to health-related problems and everyone should take advantage of it, he said.
Lions Club Secretary Paul Xavier said that health-related problems have been appearing more and more recently, due to the current lifestyle and diet. He said that we can keep ourselves healthy with regular check-ups and a healthy lifestyle.
Lions Club President Ambi Krishnamurthy presided over the meeting and said that it is important to get regular health check-ups to detect and prevent problems as early as possible.
