A man in Melbourne's south-east is facing court after being caught driving with four children who were not properly restrained in his car. The incident took place on Henry Street in Pakenham around noon yesterday, when police stopped the man's ute.
To their surprise, they found four children, aged between three and 13, inside the vehicle without any restraints. Two of them were in the front passenger seat, with one sitting on the centre console and the other squeezed into the footwell.
Authorities were quick to take action and the 38-year-old man from Pakenham is now expected to face several charges, including reckless and careless driving. He will have to make an appearance at a magistrates' court in the near future.
