Former 2000s pop star realizes he was the butt of a comedian's jokes while sitting in the front row.
Next on the agenda, Will Young has shared a cringeworthy experience he had when he discovered he was the subject of a comedian's jokes. As many of us know, Will rose to fame after winning the first season of Pop Idol in 2002. Since then, he has had a successful career in music, film, and television, even appearing on popular shows like Strictly Come Dancing and The Masked Singer.

Despite gaining a large fan base over the years, Will recently recalled a not-so-pleasant encounter with a comedian. During an appearance on Sunday Brunch, hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer asked Will if he had ever attended the Edinburgh Fringe festival. Will confirmed that he had and went on to share a cringe-worthy moment he experienced.

"I used to love going to the festival, but I did go to a show years ago and the bulk of her show was about me," Will explained. "It was not very nice, and I was in the front row. She said, 'I don't know what to do because my show is taking the piss out of Will Young and he is sitting in the front row.'"

Before Will could continue with his story, the hosts had to interrupt and apologize for Will's use of a swear word on live TV. Tim quickly apologized to viewers, saying, "I must apologize for using that word." Surprised by the correction, Will promptly apologized as well, joking that he should know better since it was his sixth appearance on the show.

After the apology, Will continued with his story, revealing that the comedian ended up stopping the show because of his presence. "Well, did she carry on with her material?" Tim asked. Will replied, "No, she kind of stopped the show. I'm not joking. She did about 20 minutes and then that was it. It was so bizarre, very awkward."

Although an apology was issued for Will's language, viewers didn't seem too bothered by it. In fact, one person even posted on social media, "I missed what he said. I guess it was sweary?"

Sunday Brunch airs weekly on Channel 4 at 9am and Will's story just goes to show that even celebrities can have awkward and uncomfortable moments just like the rest of us.
