In the midst of a heated dispute outside the Parliament complex, a BJP female Parliamentarian has come forward with shocking accusations against the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi.
Phangnon Konyak, who represents Nagaland in the Rajya Sabha, filed a complaint with the Rajya Sabha Chairman on Thursday, stating that her dignity and self-respect were deeply impacted by the actions of Rahul Gandhi.
According to Konyak, the Congress MP and his party members behaved disrespectfully towards her while she was protesting against the mistreatment of Babasaheb Ambedkar by their party.
She stated, "He not only misbehaved with me in a loud and aggressive manner, but also invaded my personal space to the point where I felt extremely uncomfortable as a woman."
Konyak also expressed her disappointment at the behavior of a fellow Member of Parliament, saying, "I was heartbroken and felt that no MP should act in such a manner."
Konyak, who is also the state President of BJP Mahila Morcha in Nagaland, explained that the incident occurred while she was protesting against the Congress' treatment of BR Ambedkar at the main entrance of the Parliament building.
"The Security Personnel had created a passage for other MPs to enter, but suddenly, Rahul Gandhi and his party members came in front of me, despite there being a designated pathway," she wrote in her complaint.
The penultimate day of the Winter Session was marred by controversy as a scuffle broke out between BJP and INDIA bloc MPs over insults to the legacy of the country's greatest Dalit icon. Two BJP MPs claimed to have been injured after Rahul pushed them, while Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge also alleged that he was assaulted by BJP Parliamentarians and that his knees were hurt.
However, Rahul Gandhi has refuted all allegations and instead accused the ruling party MPs of shoving him.
