Father and son arrested for allegedly killing a woman in the Keonjhar district of Odisha.
In a small village called Parabha Sahi, located in the Khantaghar village under Dhenkikote police beat house limits in the beautiful state of Odisha, a tragic incident took place on Friday night. A woman, Kuntala Nayak, was reportedly beaten to death by her neighbors over a dispute about the erection of a fence. Kuntala, who was 55 years old and married to Banshidhar Nayak, lived with her husband in the village.

As soon as the authorities were informed about the incident, they took immediate action and arrested a man and his son for the murder. The police also began a search for the third accused, who was still at large. The two arrested individuals were identified as Rabi Nayak and his son Mangulu Nayak. Another one of Rabi's sons, Puria Nayak, who is also involved in the case, is currently on the run.

The whole incident unfolded when Banshidhar was in the process of constructing a fence around his house, around 5pm on Friday. At this time, Rabi showed up at the site and started a heated argument with the couple. His two sons, Mangulu and Puria, also joined in and allegedly physically assaulted the couple. Fearing for their safety, Banshidhar and Kuntala ran away from their house and sought refuge in another villager's house, leaving their door unlocked. However, later that night, when they returned to lock their door, Rabi and his sons attacked Kuntala, hitting her on the head with a stick. Tragically, she passed away on the spot due to severe bleeding.

As soon as the Dhenkikote beat house police were informed about the situation, they rushed to the scene, recovered Kuntala's body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. The Ghatagaon SDPO, Prabhat Tripathy, also visited the crime scene to gather more information. During their investigation, the police were able to apprehend Mangulu from the Dhenkikote market, while Rabi was caught at his residence.

The entire village was shocked and saddened by the horrific news of Kuntala's death. It is a tragic reminder of how small disputes can escalate into such devastating consequences. The authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation to bring justice to Kuntala and her grieving family.
