ITV has come under fire from This Morning viewers for seemingly favouring Holly Willoughby. Fans have expressed their discontent with a decision to largely ignore the contribution of the guest hosts who stood in over the past few weeks.
Alison Hammond, Dermot O’Leary, Craig Doyle, Josie Gibson, Andi Peters, and Rochelle Humes all stepped up after Phillip Schofield resigned in May after admitting to lying about an ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair.
The broadcaster announced Holly Willoughby's return to the show this week with a post on Instagram featuring photos of Holly, Alison, and Dermot. However, the post failed to mention the other presenters, leaving many viewers feeling snubbed.
One fan wrote, ‘Where’s Josie and Craig?’ while another said, ‘So they’ve just thrown Josie and Craig away like they didn’t carry the show for weeks.’ The post was met with further comments from viewers who expressed their admiration for the previous hosts, with one fan saying, ‘I will miss Josie.
