Family dies from eating street food on vacation in Turkey.

A young family was having a lovely time in Turkey, indulging in the delicious street food that the country is famous for. Unfortunately, their vacation took a tragic turn when four members of the family were struck with a mysterious illness that proved to be fatal. This shocking incident has resulted in the detainment of eleven people, including the street vendors and hotel staff that the family came into contact with. It all began when Cigdem Boceck, her husband Servet, and their two children, Masal and Kadir, arrived in Turkey from Germany on November 9. Just two days later, they decided to explore the streets and try out some local delicacies. They indulged in midye, a popular street snack of stuffed mussels, and then went on to a restaurant where they ordered various dishes, including kokorec and tavuk tantuni. They also bought some Turkish delights from a shop before heading back to their hotel. However, things took a turn for the worse when Masal and Kadir fell ill and were rushed to the hospital with symptoms of nausea and vomiting. Shortly after, their parents also began experiencing the same symptoms. Tragically, Cigdem and her two children passed away in the hospital, while Servet's death was announced on Monday by the Head of the Istanbul Health Directorate. The authorities wasted no time in launching a major investigation into the incident. So far, eleven people have been detained, including the street vendors and hotel staff that the family had come into contact with. Initially, the focus was on food poisoning, but there is now evidence that suggests the family may have been exposed to pesticides in their hotel. It is still unclear whether it was the mussels, food from the restaurant, or chemicals used in the hotel's pest control that caused the family's deaths. Samples have been collected from the places where the family had eaten, and their bodies have been sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute for further analysis. The grandfather of the children has expressed his desire for a thorough investigation into the incident and has also raised concerns about others who may have eaten at the same places. Two other tourists who were staying at the same hotel were also hospitalized with similar symptoms, further adding to the gravity of the situation. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has assured that the investigation is being carried out comprehensively and that the cause of the family's deaths will be revealed. This tragic incident serves as a reminder to always be cautious while traveling and to thoroughly research the places we eat at. Our hearts go out to the family and we hope that the truth behind this devastating incident will be uncovered soon.
