In an inspiring display of leadership, Ethiopians planted more than 350 million trees in 12 hours as part of a wider reforestation program called “Green Legacy.”
Led by a call from the Prime Minister and his cabinet of ministers, Ethiopians 5x’d the previous record set by Indians in 2017 (66M trees). What is most impressive is that the Ethiopians have targeted 4 Billion trees this year.
At a time when Brazil’s incredible Amazonian rain forests are reaching dangerously negative tipping points due to deforestation, Ethiopia has set the marker for what positive change looks like.
Thank you, Ethiopia.
