Almost two-thirds of workers would consider changing employers if they were offered a four-day week, a survey has found. The poll, conducted by employment firm Hays, revealed that a majority of employers and employees were in favour of this change, with a third of employers being more likely to adopt it if their staff spent all four days in the workplace. A six-month trial of the scheme saw 61 companies across the country take part, with the majority extending the trial and a third making it permanent. Hays UK and Ireland's Gaelle Blake said that the appetite for a four-day work week had increased, but only 5% of respondents were working in an organization that offered this. She added that employers could stand out from the crowd by offering employees flexibility, such as hybrid working and flexible hours.
