Emmerdale star Natalie J Robb wants one thing before she ties the knot.

I would want that for myself.

Emmerdale star Natalie J Robb wants one thing before she ties the knot.
"Wow, that's a really great point! I was just thinking about this the other day while I was reading the script for my character Moira in Emmerdale. She's been in a relationship with Cain Dingle for what feels like forever now. And let me tell you, they've been through a lot together. Despite all the ups and downs, they always find a way to make it work and stay together.

But lately, their marriage has been facing some challenges. You see, Moira was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor and it's really taken a toll on their relationship. Before the diagnosis, Moira was acting very strangely and no one knew why. One minute she was flirting with Cain, and the next she was arguing with him. It was confusing for everyone, especially Cain who couldn't help but wonder what was going on and what it meant for their future.

I had a chat with the show's producer, Iain MacLeod, about all of this and we talked about how marriages go through rough patches. There's temptation, there's unexpected things that happen. But if people gave up after the first hurdle, there would be no marriages left. It's so easy to just give up and walk away, but Moira and Cain are determined to work through their problems and stay together.

Personally, I've always had strong views on marriage. I was in a long-term relationship with my co-star Jonny McPherson, but we never got married. If I ever do get married, it will only be once. I'm not one to give up easily, and I believe that people change and grow as individuals. In my fantasy world, I would want to be like Moira and Cain, finding a way to make it work no matter what life throws at us.

But let's be real, marriage is hard work. It's not always rainbows and butterflies. People go through tough times, like affairs or financial problems. And those things can really pull you apart. But what's important is finding a way to come back together and remember what brought you together in the first place. Call me a dreamer, but that's what I believe in.

As an actress, it's been really interesting to play out Moira's journey since her diagnosis. She's been through so much and it's really tested her marriage with Cain. But I think they have a great chemistry on screen. It's funny, sometimes when I watch our scenes together, I think "He's my buddy, he's like my best mate." And then I remember that we're actually playing a married couple. It's a bit surreal, but it works.

I remember when our previous producer Gavin Blyth first told Jeff (who plays Cain) and I that our characters were going to be put together as a couple. Jeff wasn't too thrilled about it at first, but it's definitely been an interesting journey for us. And the fact that we've been married on the show for so long now is pretty amazing.

We've had our fair share of arguments and almost divorced a couple of times, but we always manage to pull through. I think it's because we both have a lot to protect in our relationship and we're not afraid to stand up to each other when we need to. It'll be interesting to see how things unfold in the upcoming episodes, especially with Moira's suspicions about Cain's behavior.

But overall, I really enjoy working with Jeff and I think we make a great team on screen.
