Eastside Golf recently connected with 2K Games to collaborate on a special initiative at Morehouse College. Olajuwon Ajanaku, a Morehouse alum and co-founder of Eastside Golf, spearheaded the event to get young people interested in the game of golf.
Students were invited to play PGA Tour 2K23 during the TOUR Championship week and were given the chance to win prizes. Ajanaku spoke of the importance of the students witnessing the event and realizing their dreams can be accomplished. “Hopefully, all students can see this and see that whatever they want to do within their profession is something that they can just make a plan, go about the steps of that plan, and truly accomplish it,” he said.
Competition winners were awarded pairs of TOUR Championship tickets, Xboxes, and products from the Eastside Golf line. The game and clothes were displayed to inspire young fans and remind them that their dreams are attainable. “The only way that a dream can happen is if you have a true passion for it,” Ajanaku said.
TikTok personality Snappy Gilmore and 2HYPE YouTube collective member ZackTTG also took part in the Morehouse activation. Participants played PGA TOUR 2K23 Deluxe Edition, Tiger Woods Edition, and Standard Edition. These editions are now available for Xbox and PlayStation platforms and on PC/Steam.
