After nearly five years away from our screens, the legendary duo of Dick and Dom have reportedly signed up for a huge BBC series. The In Da Bungalow stars will be joining the lineup of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip alongside reality TV royalty Gemma Collins and Melvin Odoom.
A source close to the pair said: “They’ve signed up to Celebrity Antiques Road Trip and they’ve already started filming. It’s hilarious but they don’t know much about antiques!”
Dick and Dom, whose real names are Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood, first shot to fame in the early 2000s with their Bafta-winning show In Da Bungalow. After the show’s five series run from 2002 to 2006, the pair went on to star in their own films and programmes. Their last appearance together on screen was in 2018’s Diddy TV.
Not just content with entertaining us with their humour, Dick and Dom have also lent their voices to politics. The longtime pals are not afraid to express their opinion on social media, taking to Twitter to lay into the government. Most recently, they branded the government 'twisted' and called for a 'general election now' following several cabinet sackings.
Celebrity Antiques Road Trip pits celebrities against each other to find the best antiques and make the most money at auction. The show has been running since 2011 on BBC Two and has featured the likes of Jo Brand, Richard Osman, and James ‘Arg’ Argent.
The Agency has reached out to reps for Dick and Dom and the BBC for comment, and the show is expected to air later this year. We can’t wait to see them flog antiques on the small screen!
