Delhi police issue traffic advisory as VHP holds protest in Delhi today over Haryana violence.
Amidst the ongoing tensions in Haryana's Nuh district, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has called for protests in Delhi on Wednesday. The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for commuters in the city. Vikas Marg will be completely blocked from 8 AM onwards. People coming from Ghaziabad or the Delhi-Meerut Expressway and heading towards ITO should take NH-24, while those coming from Vivek Vihar should take Nala Road for ITO.

On Tuesday night, violence erupted in Gurugram's Badshahpur area when a mob set two shops on fire and vandalised adjoining stores. The Rapid Action Force (RAF) was deployed in the locality and conducted a flagmarch on Wednesday.

So far, five people have been killed in the violence that started in Haryana's Nuh district. Two police officers were among those killed in the clashes between two groups after an attack on a religious procession. Later, a 23-year-old man was killed in a mosque in Gurugram, while another person was seriously injured. 44 FIRs have been filed in the case and around 70 people are in police custody. Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar has stated that strict action will be taken against the rioters.
