It was a sight to behold when many senior officials from Defence and RBI visited the famous Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain district on Saturday. Defence Staff General Chief Anil Chauhan, Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das, Chief of the Eastern Command of the Indian Army and Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita and Director General of Defence Research and Development Organization Dr Chandrika Kaushik all paid their respects to Mahakal baba.
The officials arrived at the temple in the morning and took part in the Bhasma Arti. They were accompanied by priest Ram Sharma, who helped them with all the rituals and venerations. The administrator of Mahakal Temple Sandeep Soni then honoured them by gifting them a picture of Lord Mahakaleshwar, northern clothes and prasad.
The officials are currently staying in Ujjain. During their visit, they had the opportunity to pray and pay their respects to the temple. It was a truly special experience for them, and one that they will remember fondly.
