Madikeri, July 3: MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda performed the ground-breaking ceremony for the self-propelled driving lane work planned to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 4.83 crore in the Regional Transport Office premises on the outskirts of the city.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the work will be constructed on 2.12 acres of land at a cost of about Rs. 4.83 crore. It will help the general public to take advantage of it and drive better. He said that approval has been obtained from the government and the Transport Minister has extended his cooperation.

Giving a description of the work on this occasion, the engineer of the Mysore division said that this work will be carried out by KSRTC (CE Division) Bengaluru and the work will be completed within 12 months, barring rain.
