Many have attributed the rampant corruption at both upper and organizational levels in India to personality traits such as hubris, narcissism, selfishness etc.
Based on an analysis of Indian films depicting these factors, we are shown that further evidence for a view that India's criminal culture stems from elements- Corruption & Selfishness (Ego) – is due to the high incidence of these factors in films such as Gol Maal (Hindi), Wanted (Hindi), Kambakht Ishq (Hindi), Ankahee(Marathi), Antaheen (Bangla) and so on.
Research-based on Fiction doesn't make sense. But, when the audience is people who don't have access to knowledge, they tend to believe fiction. Such films collectively reflect values relating to corruption end ego and are beginning to shape people's attitudes.
The point of corruption is ego.
‘Corruption and ego are what really fuels the rapid development of service sector jobs, giving scams and pyramid schemes an underlying steel’.
Power struggles in developing countries with developing industries due to market crashes, that enable a country to afford corrupt practices. It is noted that because infrastructure is a staple of any country's imperfection, corruption among such infrastructure enterprises is not only enabling but a necessity in order for them to simultaneously thrive for themselves and for their economies.
Many of these enterprises have bypassed regulatory frameworks by abusively monetizing opportunities of one pillar industry into other sectors but achieved success by connecting alternative forms of power.
Most people who do get a decent education, prefer to stay in developed countries. The few who stay back should be able to define the future.
