He added, "It has been challenging, even my own family didn't know. They found out when the viewers did. They weren't suspicious because they didn't think I could play an evil character like Joel. We didn't see that coming!"
Calum also shared a funny anecdote about his family's reaction to the storyline. "A few weeks ago, I was having Sunday dinner with them, and they were discussing their theories about who the killer could be. Each one of them had a different theory, but not one of them thought it could be Joel. They were not suspicious of me at all. They were aware of the online suspicions, but they believed me!"
