The Congress party has filed three complaints against the collector and SP of Datia, collector of Ashoknagar, and SDM Chanchoda on Monday. The complaints were raised by Congress leader JP Dhanopia, who said that Congress candidate from Datia Rajendra Bharti had asked the collector to take action on his complaints, but his requests were ignored.
Dhanopia has demanded the removal of Collector Sandeep Makin and SP Pradeep Sharma, in order to ensure the elections are conducted in a free and fair manner. He has also mentioned a decision taken by the High Court of Jabalpur on November 8th, which ordered the immediate removal of Ashoknagar's district collector, Subash Kumar Dwivedi.
The third complaint was raised by Congress candidate from Chachauda, Laxman Singh. He had alleged that BJP candidate, along with her sister and an advocate, had visited the SDM Vikas Kumar Anand's bungalow with a 'packet' in their hands. This led Dhanopia to conclude that the BJP was trying to 'manage' the SDM for the elections.
The filing of these complaints comes ahead of the MP Elections 2023. In response, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the incumbent Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, has mocked the Congress party, accusing them of 'mastering the art of spreading lies'.
