On Friday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and State BJP President VD Sharma held a meeting with BJP workers to discuss preparation for Karyakarta Mahakumbh. The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, will be addressing the Karyakarta Mahakumbh on September 25.
Chouhan said that BJP workers have always been great at organising events. He then added that the Jan Ashirwad Yatra had received a great response from the people, signalling that the BJP would register an impressive victory in the upcoming Assembly elections.
VD Sharma said that lakhs of party workers would be coming from around the state for the Karyakarta Mahakumbh, and it is the responsibility of everyone to ensure that the programme is successful. He also mentioned that the Modi government had offered 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, and the party would be welcoming him with the party flag.
Organisation General Secretary Hitanand said that the party workers had the experience and capability to make the Karyakarta Mahakumbh a success. He called it an opportunity to organise a historic programme.
State Medical Education Minister Vishvas Sarang and ex-mayor Alok Sharma were also present at the meeting.
Meanwhile, seven districts in Madhya Pradesh, including Bhopal, have been declared Red Zones, and people should brace for heavy rains over the weekend.
