Neighbours' theme tune is without a doubt one of TV's most iconic and the anticipation for the show's return is tangible. The catchy track, originally sung by Barry Crocker upon the show's debut in 1985, has been re-recorded a whopping eight times since the original.
Greg Hind, Paul Norton and Wendy Stapleton, Janine Maunder, Sandra de Jong, Stephanie Angelini and Daniel Boys, Garth Ploog, Bonnie Anderson and now Chris Sebastian have all lent their voices to the iconic track over the years.
In fact, Janine Maunder's rendition in the early noughties is widely considered to be one of the most recognisable versions of the track, and our personal favourite.
The UK broadcaster shockingly axed the popular soap, resulting in fan outcry and petitions, which - despite Neighbours going off the air after a star-studded finale - proved successful, with Amazon Freevee swooping in to rescue the series.
We've been given a sneak peek of the brand new theme tune, performed by Chris Sebastian, who rose to fame on The Voice Australia. It's every bit as beautiful as we hoped it would be and feels like the perfect blend of old and new.
