Charlotte Dawson was due to welcome her second child next week, but it looks like things are happening a bit earlier than planned. The Celebs Go Dating personality, 30, and mum of two-year-old Noah, got a shock when her waters broke unexpectedly in her sleep!
‘It was a bit of a random, unexpected, wet night last night,’ she told her 1.3million Instagram followers yesterday evening. ‘You couldn’t write it, I’ve just done my tan and my waters break’, she joked, adding that it was probably the worst time for this to happen - 'tanning Thursdays'!
The star had a pretty eventful 24 hours when her waters randomly broke. It was her 'back waters' that caused the gush of liquid, but luckily it didn't ruin her tan - 'thank god.' However, Charlotte admitted that the doctors were 'worried' about her baby, as she explained: 'This is minging to say, but I had brown stuff, and obviously they thought it could be old blood and stuff so that was a bit of a worry.'
The doctor also went 'down there' to see what the water-breakage situation was, and found it was her 'back waters' that broke, not the front ones 'that pop.' Everything seemed to be alright, as her baby's movements had got a bit slow, but when the doctor put the 'jelly on the belly' he began to wriggle around a bit more and Charlotte experienced mini contractions, which she described as similar to really bad period pain.
As the hospital was 'busy' Charlotte got sent home, 'still with bumpalicious' as there was 'no point waiting around.' To help her sleep, Charlotte had some 'lovely buttery toast', a cuppa, and the new Whitney Houston film. And with that, she reassured her followers not to worry - 'I'm not dilated yet.'
