Jennifer Greene, the Black woman CEO of Free At Last Bail Bonds, an Atlanta-based bail bonding company, was taken aback when she found out that her latest clients were part of a nationally recognized case. Three of the individuals charged in the Trump indictment in Fulton County, Georgia had come to Greene’s business to acquire its services.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution confirmed that this was the case, and Greene told the publication that she wanted the opportunity to explain the importance of her business.
“The majority of our clientele, unlike Trump cohorts, they don’t have $10,000 just sitting around to get out of jail,” Greene stated. “So going through a bonding company, you’re able to finance your bail premium.”
Greene is dedicated to providing the same quality of services to her high-profile clients as she does to her other clients. Her business, Free at Last, has been in the family for generations, having been started by her mother. This relationship with Fulton County Jail is what led the Trump case individuals to entrust their bail needs with Greene’s company.
While Greene’s success is evident in the eight locations she has all across and beyond Metro Atlanta, her next feat is to ensure that her Trump-affiliated clients show up to their court dates.
“My counterparts may not understand why I’m doing this,” Greene expressed. “I mean, the people who believe that Trump and his cohorts are guilty. But that’s not my job. Our job is to ensure that you get back home to your family and you continue with your life so that you can have a livelihood that doesn’t lead you to a life of crime.”
It is yet to be determined whether or not Greene’s mission will be successful with this unique set of clients. Nevertheless, Greene is determined to provide the same services she provides to all of her clients, regardless of their social or political standing.
