Black Enterprise is addressing the disparity in wealth among races through a virtual town hall.
The issue of racial wealth disparities has been a persistent problem in our society, and BLACK ENTERPRISE is taking a stand to address it head-on. With the support of Nationwide, we will be hosting a virtual event, titled "Shaping the Culture of Wealth," on March 14. As a leading Black digital media brand, BE is committed to finding solutions and facilitating discussions on why African Americans continue to struggle with building wealth. Compared to other races, the Black community has faced numerous obstacles, including debt and systemic barriers, resulting in a significant wealth gap.

Our upcoming town hall aims to tackle these financial challenges and promote sustainable methods for achieving prosperity. BE's Chief Executive Officer, Earl "Butch" Graves Jr., expressed his excitement for this partnership with Nationwide and the opportunity to host such an important forum. "We are thrilled to once again collaborate with our friends at Nationwide for this transformative event," Graves Jr. shared in a press release. "By leveraging our platform and working with financial leaders, we hope to drive significant change by equipping African Americans with the necessary tools and knowledge to build multi-generational wealth."

The town hall will feature a panel of five esteemed speakers who will engage in a holistic conversation on wealth building. Joining Graves Jr. will be BE's Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer, Derek T. Dingle, as well as Kristin Martin Rodriguez, Senior Vice President of Nationwide Retirement Institute. Other speakers include John Hope Bryant, Chairman and CEO of Operation Hope, and Tarrus Richardson, Founder and CEO of IMB Partners. Award-winning journalist Ed Gordon will moderate the two-hour discussion, which aims to propel the Black community forward. Attendees can expect to gain valuable insights on achieving financial success and promoting crucial financial literacy skills that impact us all.

The "Shaping the Culture of Wealth" Town Hall will be live-streamed on BLACK ENTERPRISE's website at 7 p.m. EST. More information about the event can be found on our website. In related news, BLACK ENTERPRISE is excited to announce the return of the 2024 Women of Power Summit in Las Vegas. This event aims to honor exceptional business trailblazers and empower women to excel in their respective fields. We look forward to seeing you there!
