Black Americans report increased productivity since returning to their workplace.
Many workers, including Black Americans, are being asked to return to the office and many are reporting that this has actually improved their output. Multiple reports on work-from-home and return to office policies have been conducted recently, and the results show that U.S. businesses are divided on how they are dealing with the situation.

A survey conducted by ResumeBuilder.com asked 1,500 full-time, corporate employees on where they are now working and how returning to the office has impacted their productivity. The results showed that 63% of workers reported that returning to the office had increased their productivity, with Gen Z feeling the benefits more than other generations.

For Black Americans, the survey revealed that 72% said that going back to the office had improved their productivity, and 47% said that they were much more productive since returning. The most cited reason for their increased productivity was improved teamwork, while only 11% reported that RTO had worsened their productivity.

The survey comes three years after the Covid-19 pandemic forced many businesses to switch to working from home indefinitely, causing companies to make unprecedented changes. The survey showed that 85% of workers now go to the office at least once a week, with only 13% saying that returning to the office had worsened their productivity.

Though many report improved productivity, 60% of those who reported an improvement would still prefer to work less frequently from the office, and 38% would choose to work fully remotely. For Black Americans, 65% would choose to work less frequently from the office. This data suggests that many workers still prefer the flexibility of working from home, even if they are more productive in the office.
