The BJP on Wednesday used Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's new movie "Jawan" to take a dig at the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance. BJP's National Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia shared a poster of the film on X, and wrote "We must thank Shah Rukh Khan for exposing the corrupt, policy paralysis ridden Congress rule from 2004 to 2014 through Jawan Movie."

He credited the government for providing 2.3 lakh bulletproof jackets, disbursing 1.2 lakh crores through one rank one pension scheme, and upgrading the armed forces with Rafale, Apache, and Chinook.
Bhatia also slammed the UPA government for rejecting former Air Chief Marshal Fali Homi Major's request for surgical strikes after 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. He also claimed that at least 1.6 lakh farmers committed suicides during "Congress era" and the NDA government recovered Rs 6.5 lakh crore from defaulting companies.
Bhatia concluded his post by thanking Shah Rukh Khan for bringing to light the issues of the past. He wrote, "Thank you, Shah Rukh Khan. Under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, these issues are now a thing of the past."
