The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched statewide agitation against Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray for their alleged misguidance of the youth on the issue of contractual recruitments. State BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule along with general secretary Murlidhar Mohol and other MLAs, MLCs office-bearers and leaders led the 'naak ghasa' agitation at several places across the state.
The BJP had been vocal in its criticism of the Congress-NCP government which started with contractual recruitments back in 2003 and the feat was taken further to newer heights by the MVA government under Uddhav Thackeray after 2020. Pune BJP Chief Dheeraj Ghate went on to label the contractual recruitment as the MVA's 'sin'.
State BJP Vice-President Rajesh Pande, General Secretary Murlidhar Mohol, City Chief Dheeraj Ghate, MLA Niranjan Dawkhare, city Chief Sanjay Waghule, MP Pratap Chikhalikar in Nanded, MP Dhanajay Mahadik in Kolhapur, Sanjay Konekar in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar also joined the agitation in their respective places.
Bawankule demanded an apology from the MVA constituents, led by Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray, for their wrongdoings and warned that they would expose them before the people if they do not comply. He said that the youth of the state deserve better and that the BJP will strive to ensure they get equal opportunities in the future.
Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar took a ride on the Pune Metro to review the pending work on the same day. This comes as the MVA government seeks to improve the state's infrastructure. The BJP, however, continues to rally against the government for misleading the youth on the issue of contractual recruitments.
