The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has recently filed a complaint to the Election Commission regarding the actions of a senior IPS officer in Bhubaneswar. The party has alleged that the officer, Ashish Singh, has violated the model code of conduct and is demanding for his transfer outside of Odisha.
A delegation of state BJP leaders took the matter to the Odisha chief electoral officer, presenting a petition outlining their concerns about Singh's actions. The party expressed their concerns about the safety of citizens exercising their democratic rights and urged the EC to take immediate action against the perpetrators.
In their petition, the BJD has requested for justice to be served and for measures to be taken to ensure the integrity of the electoral process. Both parties are eagerly awaiting the decision of the Election Commission in regards to these matters.
