Beyoncé's organization is giving out more grants to support struggling beauty salons.
Beyoncé is not only a talented musician and performer, but she is also dedicated to empowering the next generation of hair care professionals. Her Cécred x BeyGood Fund has just launched its second round of business grants, staying true to its mission of supporting and fostering the growth of salon owners in need.

The fund reopened applications on May 1st, offering five $10,000 grants to qualifying salon owners in financial need. This is part of the fund's annual donation of $500,000, which also includes cosmetology school scholarships. The chosen cities for this initiative are Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and New Jersey.

Last month, the first round of scholarship and business grant recipients were announced. Twenty-five $10,000 financial aid student scholarships were given to five different cosmetology schools, and twenty-five $10,000 grants were awarded to qualifying salon owners. This includes students from Beaver Beauty Academy in Atlanta, Trenz Beauty Academy in Chicago, Universal College of Beauty in Los Angeles, Franklin Institute in Houston, and Janas Cosmetology Academy in New Jersey. The five salons that received the $10,000 business grants are Kingdom Glam Beauty Depot in Atlanta, Amour Full Service Salon Inc. in Chicago, Knot's Beauty Company LLC in Houston, Nela Beauty Salon LLC in Los Angeles, and The A Lifestyle in New Jersey.

In an Instagram announcement, BeyGOOD stated, "Hair stylists are imperative to our community and we're committed to supporting their growth." The fund aims to provide financial assistance to salon owners who demonstrate a need, allowing them to continue making a positive impact in their communities.

This generosity from Cécred and BeyGOOD follows the launch of the haircare line in February. It's a significant milestone for Beyoncé, who created the brand to carry on her family's legacy in the haircare industry. As Ms. Tina Knowles shared with Essence, "Hair has always been a big part of our lives. Just as fashion saved our family, hair is how we made a living. In the Black community, it has always been a source of income and stability. I told my kids that, and my mama told me that. So it's just our legacy, and this full-circle moment feels amazing."

Since its release, Cécred has received praise from people of all hair types. Customers have shared their satisfaction with the results through video testimonials on social media. Recently, one user shared a review of the product's effect on her mature locs, which was met with approval from the community.

In addition to supporting the growth of future hair care professionals, Beyoncé also uses her platform to spread love and happiness. In a heartwarming gesture, she surprised her 2-year-old "bestie" with flowers, showing that even small acts of kindness can make a big impact.
