EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal has promised "unpredictable and explosive" twists to come for Suki Panesar.
Suki, who made her debut three years ago, is at the centre of a big storyline next week, as she prepares to renew her wedding vows to controlling husband Nish.
The matriarch announced the news to a pub full of people earlier this month, devastating Eve Unwin, who she previously had an affair with and is evidently still harbouring feelings for.
Next week, Nish brings the marriage blessing forward, much to Suki's horror, as she desperately tries to stall him "to no avail."
"I think Suki just doesn’t want to do it,” admits actress Balvinder. "With all of these things, she wishes that somebody else would say 'Okay, it’s not going to happen' and not necessarily dissolve her responsibilities but absolve her of creating an issue."
"It feels like it’s the other person’s decisions, so she’s kind of hoping it won’t go through. All these little bumps in the way feel like a helping hand in it not happening but of course she can’t get out of it and has to go with it.
"She’s also made a public declaration in The Vic that she’s going to get married, so there’s a sense of not wanting to back out of a promise she’s made to herself, I suppose. Put it this way, she would be happy if it wasn’t happening."
