The National Black Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump as this year’s keynote speaker at the National Black Business Conference. The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia from August 23rd to 27th and will include a variety of activities and events for attendees.
The conference will provide networking opportunities with Fortune 500 companies for those in attendance. It will also feature a Booker T. Washington Tuskegee Tour, Black Tie Awards Gala, Pan-African Diaspora Luncheon, panel discussions, workshops, and more.
Benjamin Crump is a renowned figure in the African American community. He is the current president of the National Civil Rights Trial Lawyers Association and the former president of the National Bar Association. He has been featured on many distinguished lists, such as TIME100’s Most Influential People of 2021, Ebony Magazine’s Power 100 Most Influential African Americans, The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Lawyers, and the 2014 NNPA Newsmaker of the Year.
Crump has dedicated his life to advocating for civil rights and has represented the families of victims of racially-motivated crimes, such as Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and Ahmaud Arbery. His mission has always been to be a voice for the voiceless, making him a perfect fit for this year’s keynote speaker. With the Supreme Court decision to end Affirmative Action, there is no better time to recognize Crump for his contributions to civil rights.
