Coronation Street star William 'Bill' Roache is living proof that if you have an adventurous dream, you should go for it if you can. The 91-year-old actor, most well known for playing Ken Barlow on the long-running soap since its premiere in 1960, decided to take the plunge and go skydiving for the first time in his life.

Bill spoke to the camera before his jump, joking that he was going to jump out of an aeroplane 'hopefully with a parachute on' and an instructor with him. He admitted that his feelings were 'all over the place', but he was mainly excited. He was seen practising how to position his body during the skydive while lying on the floor.
He revealed that he had heard from people who had gone skydiving that it was the best thing they had ever done in their life. With Lenny Kravitz's Fly Away playing in the background of the video, Bill zipped himself up in his blue and yellow suit and put on a harness. He couldn't wipe the smile off his face as he sat in the plane, waiting to take the leap of faith.
Bill and his instructor inched out of the aircraft and dove out of the plane, spinning upside down as the sun shone above them. He attempted to blow a kiss during the dive, but it proved a tricky feat while placing his arms in the correct angular position and with the wind blowing powerfully on his face.
Bill landed on the ground to applause, telling the camera that his 'breath was taken away' during the 'amazing' stunt. He described it as slowing down and feeling like a bird, saying it was 'really wonderful'. What an incredible experience!
