Ari Lennox was performing an opening set on Rod Wave’s “Nostalgia” tour in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Nov. 29, when a fan threw a water bottle at her during her hit song “Pressure.” Needless to say, the singer was enraged and immediately started cursing out the culprit.
In a clip shared online, Lennox was heard shouting in a microphone, “B*tch! Don’t f*cking play with me because I’ll f*ck you up. Who the f*ck did it?” She then pointed in the direction the bottle came from and continued her rant, “Who the f*ck did it?! I’ll f*ck your a** up. I’m a real a** b*tch and I will f*ck your s*** all the way up. Don’t you ever disrespect a beautiful Black woman on a f*cking stage like that I will f*ck your a** up.”
Security then escorted Lennox off the stage before the encounter continued to escalate. There’s no word if the rowdy fan was removed from the venue.
Lennox is the latest performer to get attacked by a thrown object during a live show. Other famous singers have also encountered similar incidents in the past. Drake, Bebe Rexha, and Cardi B have all faced similar situations during their respective tours. Concertgoers have been facing criticism for the item-hurling antics that have increased over the last year.
