April didn't realise she had a glass in her foot for 6 weeks, due to numbness and pain from her spinal injury.
Married At First Sight UK star April Banbury has revealed a debilitating injury to her spine that caused her severe pain. In an Instagram post, April described the pain as “unmatched” and said it hit her “like a friggin tornado”.

The former Miss Great Britain shared photos and videos of herself at home and receiving medical treatment. She also explained that she has a prolapsed disc in her spine which caused her pain and numbness down both of her legs, through her back and her right arm. April joked that she was unaware of a shard of glass in the sole of her foot for 6 weeks until a blood blister appeared.

Sitting down is “pretty much almost impossible” for April, so she has to stand for short periods of time, take a few steps around the house and lay down. April is undergoing IDD therapy, where a machine is used to stretch her spine to relieve pressure off of her disc. Additionally, she is receiving acupuncture, shockwave therapy, k-laser, osteopathy and physical therapy.

April is receiving lots of support from her friends and family during this difficult time. She expressed her gratitude for having such an incredible support system and stated that it’s “going to be one hell of a journey”. The star also received several messages of support from her followers on Instagram, with many wishing her a full recovery.

It’s great to see so many people cheering April on in her journey to recovery. We hope she makes a speedy recovery and can get back to living her life soon.
