An African American business owner and property investor has created a hedge fund to assist people from lower-income backgrounds to begin investing.
Marlo Richardson, a serial entrepreneur, has founded a hedge fund called Business Bullish Investments in order to educate and assist individuals looking to invest in or purchase businesses and real estate. Established on February 1st as part of her parent organization, Business Bullish, the investment provides a chance for both a large organization and an individual to become partners in real estate development in a limited partnership with ownership of their investments. Richardson's own expertise in entrepreneurship and real estate investing inspired her to set up the fund.

"I've had people ask me to be their mentor, or for me to demonstrate how to invest, but many of them are unable to pay for it," she says. "So I wanted to make it more accessible. The knowledge gap and lack of access has caused the wealth gap between those who have and those who don't. Pooling money together is one way to make investing more affordable."

Business Bullish Investments is concentrating on people who don't meet the criteria of accredited investors, which requires a net worth above $1 million or an income of more than $200,000 or $300,000. The fund has

investment opportunities available in Los Angeles County.

"My hope is that everyone who collaborates with us will gain the knowledge and money to create their own investment opportunities or establish generational wealth for their families," she states.

Individuals and companies may submit a request on BusinessBullishInvestments.com to invest in the fund or to learn about present investment opportunities. This story was originally featured on blacknews.com.
