All Elite Wrestling star Adam Cole is being forced to take time off to have surgery after suffering a freak injury last week. Fans noticed that something was wrong as he ran down the ramp and jumped to the ringside area during Wednesday night's episode of AEW Dynamite when he appeared on crutches.

Pretty much, my ankle exploded, it broke in three different places, I tore ligaments. Guys, I did everything that I could but unfortunately, I have to go get surgery."
His partner and fellow wrestler Dr. Britt Baker, DMD has shared pictures of him in the aftermath, including an X-ray of the damage and his swollen foot, as well as a photo of it being bandaged up. She captioned the post: "This guy broke his ankle in 3 places on a freak accident. Despite the devastating news, Cole vowed to be back to his best and ready to wrestle again "as soon as" he can. He said: "There is nothing more soul crushing than hearing this, but listen. I promise, you have my word, I will do everything in my power to get back as soon as humanly possible."
