Lalitpur: The Bundelkhand Vikas Sena of Lalitpur staged a sit-in to demand the repair of roads. The group was led by Harish Kapoor, the chief of Bundelkhand Vikas Sena.
Kapoor informed the media that almost all roads in the city had developed potholes, with the National Highways passing through the district headquarters in a particularly bad condition. He requested that toll taxes be exempted until the roads were repaired.
The other members of Bundelkhand Vikas Sena that took part in the protest stated that the municipal bodies and administrative officials had not taken any steps to fix the potholes.
Kapoor also mentioned that the road in the city center, connecting Ghata Ghar to Sawarkar Chowk, was a nightmare for commuters. He added that people have been suffering from respiratory problems and skin diseases due to the sand being blown around on the road.
Kapoor called for immediate repair of the roads, otherwise the Bundelkhand Vikas Sena would stage a stir again.
