On Tuesday, a 40-year-old cleaner, Vikram Atval, was presented in the Andheri local court after he was arrested on Monday for allegedly slitting the throat of a 24-year-old trainee air hostess, Rupal Ogrey. The postmortem report of the victim's body revealed that there were no signs of sexual assault or rape. As a result, the police requested for police custody to conduct a medical examination on the accused to rule out the possibility of sexual assault. The body of the victim was handed over to her family, who took it back to her native place of Chattisgarh for her final rites.
