A young person arrested for selling rare parrots.
Joda was bustling with activity as the Forest Department officials conducted a successful operation based on a tipoff. The main target was a young man from Jharkhand who was reportedly in possession of eight parrots belonging to an endangered species. These officials took swift action and were able to rescue the birds from the youth who was selling them near the bustling main bus stand of Keonjhar district.

The Forest Department officials were well aware of the seriousness of this matter as selling any birds of an endangered species is strictly prohibited by law. Therefore, it was no surprise when they took the youth, identified as Raja Alam from Ranchi, into custody. The accused was then produced in court and a case was registered against him.

This breakthrough in the case was made possible due to the tipoff received by Champua ACF Akshaya Kumar Chhatria. Upon receiving the information, he immediately directed the Forest Department officials to conduct a raid and apprehend the accused. The forester of Joda, Trinath Jena, informed that the parrots seized from Raja's possession were of the 'Rose-Ringed Parakeet' species which is unfortunately on the brink of extinction.

Further investigations will be carried out to determine the extent of Raja's illegal activities. It was discovered that he was residing in a rented house in Joda and was involved in the unlawful trade of various wildlife and birds. The officials had been keeping a close eye on his activities for quite some time and this successful operation finally put an end to his unlawful practices.

The Forest Department officials are determined to take strict action against anyone who is involved in the illegal trade of endangered species. They are also planning to conduct further investigations to uncover the full extent of this illegal trade. The rescued parrots will now be taken care of by the department until they are ready to be released back into the wild. This operation serves as a reminder that the protection and conservation of wildlife is of utmost importance and any illegal activities will not be tolerated.
