A woman died in a crash involving a pickup truck and a sedan.
Tragedy struck in Sydney's north-west yesterday evening as a woman tragically lost her life in a two-vehicle road crash. The victim, a 58-year-old woman, was riding in the front seat of a silver Mercedes sedan when it collided with a white Isuzu Ute on Tuckwell Road in Castle Hill.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 5:30pm and immediately began treating the injured woman. Despite their best efforts, she was ultimately transported to Westmead Hospital in critical condition. Sadly, she passed away later on.

The driver of the Mercedes, a 24-year-old woman, and two other passengers, ages 60 and 18, were also taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Ute, a 47-year-old man, was also hospitalized for mandatory testing and is currently cooperating with police as they investigate the incident.

As is standard procedure in these situations, a report will be prepared for the Coroner. Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the crash is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
